Vendor credentials describe documented creation, development, origination, or distribution relationships within a specific public scope. They are separate from Verified Vendor status and from promotional placement.
Verified Vendor status confirms the identity or business behind a vendor page. It is not a product endorsement and does not mean every product or genetic sold by that vendor has independently verified provenance.
Credentials add reviewed context about particular work or relationships. A legitimate Verified Vendor may hold no credentials, and a vendor may sell offerings for which it has not requested or received a MycoHub credential.
A vendor who can document original breeding work involving genetics.
This applies to the approved genetic scope shown on the vendor page. It does not mean every genetic the vendor sells was bred by them, confer exclusive distribution rights, or classify other sellers as unauthorized.
A vendor who can document isolation or development work involving genetics.
This applies to documented isolation or development work within the displayed genetic scope. Isolation and breeding are distinct roles, and MycoHub presents them separately.
A vendor who can document that they are the original creator or source of a specific product, genetic, formulation, method, design, or other original offering. This credential identifies where an original work or offering originated and does not necessarily mean the vendor is its only authorized seller or distributor.
Originator may apply to a product, genetic, formulation, method, design, tool, offering group, or other original work. It identifies where that offering originated; it does not necessarily identify its only seller or distributor.
A vendor with documented authorization from a breeder, originator, creator, manufacturer, or other appropriate rights-holder to distribute specified products, genetics, or offerings.
MycoHub reviewed the authorization claim and independently confirmed it with the relevant creator, originator, manufacturer, or other appropriate rights-holder. The displayed scope defines what the confirmation covers.
Scope shows exactly what MycoHub reviewed. An Authorized Distributor may be authorized for one product or genetic without being authorized for a creator's entire catalog. An Originator credential may cover one product, formulation, method, design, genetic, or defined group of offerings.
Vendor pages show the public scope whenever it is meaningful, including whether an authorization covers a full catalog or a narrower set of items.
Some credentials and authorizations have expiration dates, and a credential may later be revoked. Public vendor pages show only credentials that are active and currently unexpired in MycoHub's system. Historical expired or revoked records are not displayed as warnings.
MycoHub reviews documentation and information relevant to the credential claim. This is not a legal adjudication or a determination of intellectual-property ownership. A credential is not court-level proof and does not guarantee product quality, customer experience, future conduct, or the outcome of any transaction.
Credentials are factual context—not achievement badges, quality scores, endorsements, rankings, or judgments about vendors without them.
