Why Fungal Endophytes Matter

Not all fungi announce themselves with a visible fruiting body. Endophytes live inside plant tissues, often without obvious symptoms, and their presence can influence plant health, stress tolerance, and ecological relationships in subtle ways. They remind us that fungal importance is not limited to what we can see directly. Why this matters A lot of fungal science becomes more interesting once we stop thinking only in terms of mushrooms and start thinking in terms of hidden relationships.
